This week we ran the Great Barrow instances, and then worked some on slayer deeds. Next week we will probably do the same, rerunning the Great Barrow for those who missed it, and wrapping up any remaining Bree-Lands deeds.
This week we completed the Bree-Lands! For the most part, anyway. We do have a couple of people who haven't done the Great Barrow instances yet, so the next few sessions when they're on, we'll make one of those our instance run of the week. There are two Bree-Lands quests that complete in the Lone-Lands, so you should still have those (Candac's Delay and Thistlewool's Sullied Name). There are also three quests that we haven't done yet. Two of them are level 30, so we'll come back and pick them up after the Lone-Lands. The other is The Tale of the Shipwrecked Mariners, which is only available around International Talk Like a Pirate Day, also known as September 19th.
Otherwise, anything you don't have completed in the Bree-Lands can be done solo, if you feel like it, or just skipped, if you don't. The two things you really want be caught up on by next week are:
The Epic Quests
You should have finished Volume I, Book 1, and should now be on Volume I, Book 2: Foreword: Aiding the Order. You should be advanced in this quest up to the point where your next task is to "Talk to Saeradan at his cabin along the Greenway". We will be meeting at Saeradan next week to begin.
The Ballad of Bingo Boffin
You should be on the quest The Two Taverns, and should have advanced to the point where your next task is to "Travel to the Forsaken Inn in the Lone-Lands".
Finally, next week we will be removing The Stone of the Tortoise! Both the Lone-Lands and the North Downs have quests up to level 30, so that will be the new cap.
This week we got started on the Lone-Lands. We began by visiting the small quest hub in the Weather Hills, then completed the quests at Candaith's encampment, and then did the first batch of quests from the Forsaken Inn. We completed the following Lone-Lands quests:
Weather Hills/Midgewater Pass
Do You Know... Candaith?
Get Our Weapons Back
Meat for Eating
Pelts for Trade
Word to Anlaf
Candaith's Encampment
Circling Eyes of the Enemy
Orc-Thieves
Preparing for the Future
Forsaken Inn
Blankets from the Baying Wolves
By Hoof and Crook
Fluffing the Pillows
Missing Supply Cart
Noble Deeds
A Greater Theft
Bounty: Goblin-Scabbards (first time)
Bounty: Goblin-Tabards (first time)
Candac's Obligation
Falster's Request
Hunters Become Prey
Vengeance for the Lost
Landscape
A Daring Rescue
You should now have the following Lone-Lands quests:
A Polished Pendant (starts with a drop from a goblin, so kill some more goblins if you didn't get it already)
Enfeebling the Foe
Goblin-Exiles
Bounty: Goblin-Scabbards (second time)
Bounty: Goblin-Tabards (second time)
Goblin Pack-Master
My Brother Hunulf
My Deputy
Epic
You should now be on Book 2, Chapter 7: Radagast the Brown.
The Ballad of Bingo Boffin
You should be on the quest The Last Treasure, and the task should say to "Find the hidden Strongbox Theodore could not, somewhere in the Lone-Lands".
Next time we will begin from the Forsaken Inn, and we'll start with the quests around Weatherfoot.
This week we completed the quests from the Forsaken Inn, the quests from the small Eglain camp near Minas Eriol, and the quests from near Iorvinas, the small cave with the dwarf outside and the orcs and evil dwarves inside. We then moved on to Ost Guruth, turned in what we had, and picked up all available quests. You should now have the following:
Lone-Lands
Ost Guruth to the Forsaken Inn
A Plague of Spiders
Elders in the Shadows
Profound Losses
Venom of the Ruin-Stalkers
An Offering of Peace
Noisome Neighbours
Oatmeal Problems
To Agamaur
The Ballad of Bingo Boffin
You should be on the quest A Restful Night, where your next task is to "Talk to Bingo on the Last Bridge, east of Ost Guruth". This is as far as we will go on the Bingo Boffin quest line until after we complete all of the Lone-Lands, the North Downs, and Evendim, so if you're behind on these you'll have plenty of time to catch up.
Epic
You should be on Book 2, Chapter 8: The Red Swamp, with the task to "Collect bog-moss from bog-prowler nests".
Next time we'll pick up where we left off in Ost Guruth.
This week we completed the quests from Ost Guruth and Dol Vaeg. We also picked up the quests from the Tornstones and completed them, but we haven't turned them in yet. We finished up with a run of the Stand at Amon Sûl skirmish. You should now have the following landscape quests:
Lone-Lands
Bounty: Crunchy Crawlers (from Harloeg, first time)
Bounty: Sickle-Fly Pudding (from Harloeg, first time)
Bounty: Soggy Mushroom Mash (from Harloeg, first time)
One Called Galrîp (from the Tornstones, ready to turn in)
Our Past in Stone (from the Tornstones, ready to turn in)
Pursued by the Past (from the Tornstones, ready to turn in)
Oatmeal Problems (ready to turn in, will complete in Evendim)
Pushing Back the Past (from Ost Haer in Harloeg)
Rest at Last (from Ost Haer in Harloeg)
Something Yet to be Found (from Ost Haer in Harloeg)
To Agamaur (ready to turn in)
Epic
You should now be on Book 2, Chapter 13: In the Gaunt-Lord's Grasp, with the task to "Defeat Brudhraw".
Several people hit the current cap of 30 this week, so don't forget to put your Stone of the Tortoise back in your pocket when you get there, and then do your level 30 class quest. We'll pick up next week at Ost Haer in Harloeg.
This week we completed the landscape quests in the Lone-Lands! That includes the ones in Harloeg, the turn-ins at the Tornstones, and all the Agamaur quests. The only Lone-Lands quests you should still have are Oatmeal Problems (completes in Evendim) and Inn of the Forsaken: Stroke of Midnight (if you own that instance). We then finished up with our first run of Thievery and Mischief.
You should have the following quests under Garth Agarwen:
Arthedain's Lost Brethren
Fell Spirits
Grimbark's Reclamation
Ivar the Blood-Hand
Long Overdue Justice
Relics of Rhudaur
Temair the Terrible
The Shattered Past
Reclaim the Lost Maiden
Rings of Rhudaur
Note that some of these quests can't be picked up until you turn in the Agamaur quests, one GA quest comes from Harloeg, and one comes from the gate to Garth Agarwen.
Next time, we'll begin by knocking out the Garth Agarwen landscape stuff (we confirmed we can't do the instances at level 30), and then we'll try to finish the slayer deeds.
This week we wrapped up the Lone-Lands, with the exception of the instances of Garth Agarwen. You should have the following quests remaining:
Garth Agarwen
Grimbark's Reclamation (Arboretum instance)
Ivar the Blood-Hand (Barrows instance)
Reclaim the Lost Maiden (Fortress instance)
Rings of Rhudaur (Fortress instance)
Lone-Lands
Inn of the Forsaken: Stroke of Midnight (if you own that instance)
Oatmeal Problems (completes in Evendim)
On the epic, you should now be on Book 3, Foreword: Fires in the North. We'll meet in Ost Guruth next week, and head out for the North Downs! Level cap remains at 30 for that area.
This week we got started on Book 3 of the epic, and began the North Downs. We also knocked out Big Problems and Giant Problems, the two level 30 quests that you pick up near the Prancing Pony in Bree. We finished up with a run of Attack at Dawn.
In the landscape, we completed all the quests from Trestlebridge and Nan Wathren. You should now have the quest Turn East, Never North, which will take us north towards Mincham's Camp and Amon Raith. You should also pick up the quest Ruins of Arthedain in Esteldín, and advance it to the point where you need to find the four founding stones from across the North Downs.
In the epic, we completed the Foreword, and are now on Chapter 1, with the task to "Talk to Mincham".
We'll meet in Trestlebridge next week, and head towards the Fields of Fornost!
Yesterday we knocked out the landscape quests west of the river in the North Downs, worked through most of the quests from Orthonn, just east of the river, and moved on to Esteldín. You should now have the following quests:
Epic (Book 3)
Book 3, Chapter 4, Part I of III: A Call to Dwarves
Book 3, Chapter 5, Part I of III: A Call to Elves
Book 3, Chapter 6, Part I of III: A Call to Men
Fornost
Fornost: A Leader Unveiled
Fornost: Captain Riamul
Fornost: Fell the Trolls
Fornost: Putting Down the Dead
Fornost: Stem the Invasion
Fornost: The Darkness Within
Fornost: A Collar for the King (if you ran Attack at Dawn with us)
North Downs
Heritage of Gilmar (advance to task "Bring the excerpt to Gilmar at Gatson's Farm")
Long Horns
Othrikar, the Northern Dwarf-Keep
The Orc Threat
Orc-Bounty
Ruins of Arthedain (still need to find the Stones of Carnoglin and Ost Ardúlin)
Spider-Bounty
Warg-Bounty
A Request to the Earth-Kin
Spider Gems
Warg-Slayer
Going to the Market
Masters of the Black Siege (if you ran Attack at Dawn with us)
Ravaging Orc-Bounty
Now that we have all the quests you can get outside the instances, I'm planning to start next week with the Wraith of Water wing of Fornost, so please be on time if you can (8:30 p.m. EDT).
Sorry for the delay in getting these out here. Last time we began by running the Wraith of Water wing in Fornost. We then completed the quests around Othrikar, Gatson's Farm, and the spider lair, and wrapped up after arriving at Lin Giliath. We currently have several completed quests that we haven't gone back to Esteldín to turn in, yet, but you should have the following uncompleted quests for next time:
Epic
Book 3, Chapter 5, Part II of III: Tending the Glade (task should be "Find and kill Drukordh")
Book 3, Chapter 6, Part I of III: A Call to Men (task should be "Talk to Nellie Boskins")
North Downs
Provisions for the Glade
Ruins of Arthedain (last thing to find is the Stone of Ost Ardúlin)
Scattered Belongings
Warg-Bounty
Masters of the Black Siege
I know a few people got a little out of sync last week, so don't worry if you have additional quests, or if you've already completed some of the above; just try to be at least this far Monday night. We'll probably begin with Fornost again, in the Wraith of Earth wing.
Today we completed all the content west of Esteldín, including the epic quests up through Chapter 6 of Book 3. Next time, we'll be heading into the areas east of town. You should have the following quests:
Epic
Book 3, Chapter 7: The Council Assembled (task says to "Talk to Aragorn in Rivendell")
Today we started the content east of Esteldín, completing the quests from the earth-kin camp (Rusfold), and then beginning the quests from Melthindir. We wrapped up with a Wraith of Fire run in Fornost. You should now have the following North Downs quests:
Hillmen of the North
Going to the Market (completes in Evendim)
Leathery Wings of the Drakes (ready to turn in)
Masters of the Black Siege
Scales of the Earthbound Foe (ready to turn in)
Shattering the Alliance
Valley of the Worms (ready to turn in)
Next time we'll turn in the worm/drake quests and head out to fight the hillmen. We'll also plan on doing the Wraith of Shadow wing in Fornost, and turning in those quests.
This week we began by completing the Shadow wing of Fornost, and then wrapped up the landscape quests in the North Downs. Next time we will complete the remaining slayer deeds in the region, possibly rerun a wing or two of Fornost for missed quests, and then conclude Book 3 of the epic, which will take us to Aragorn in Rivendell, and the start of Book 4. Finally, we will move on to Evendim, and raise the level cap to 40!
This week we wrapped up the North Downs! First we ran the Shadow Wing of Fornost again, to get the quest that bugged last week. Then we finished explorer and slayer deeds for everyone.
Next, we travelled to Rivendell and completed Book 3 of the epic, and picked up the quest A Momentous Decision. We completed that quest and the next couple, until we got the quest Calenglad Remained.
Finally, we travelled to Oatbarton, turned in earlier quests from the Lone-Lands and the North Downs, and picked up the Northcotton Farm quest. We turned that in, picked up Northcotton Farmer's Market, and completed the quest line from Gerard Deephole.
We'll pick back up in Northcotton Farm next week. We have moved the level cap to 32 (not 40), at which point we're going to stop and go do the Garth Agarwen instances.
This week we wrapped up Northcotton Farm and the rest of the Oatbarton landscape quests, and moved on to Dwaling. We completed the first four quests there, which were:
Dwaling's Plight
Goblins and Spiders
Lost Dog
Sand for the Flame
After completing those, we got about nine more quests in the area, but we were also all at level 32 (the current cap), so we broke into groups and did the two 3-man Garth Agarwen instances: Barrows and Arboretum. We stopped there, with the cap still at 32.
Next, time, we will begin with the Garth Agarwen Fortress instance, then remove the Stone of the Tortoise and resume Evendim questing, with the new cap set to 40. See everyone next week!
