Highlights: Problems abound with difficulty spikes, technical glitches in instances, and getting the group together.
Moria Monday: Canceled (or cancelled if you are using British English). This is when I knew it wasn't going to be your typical week. Elaelin had a migraine.
Mordor Wednesday: Although I might not have been able to enter Mordor just yet, I was amused by the constant banter over Ventrilo. The group searched for rare chests. Elaelin was hoping to be a better Shield-Bearer to survive the coming onslaughts of orcs. I do believe I heard someone being dismounted and shouting "I'm going to die here. Leave me." They were even searching for scourges (a type of Mordor Roving Threat) to kill.
Spreadsheet Friday (or was it Saturday, eh whatever): Roving Threats in Evendim & Mirkwood. Since the group still wasn't ready, I took the time ahead to scout for the three threats in Evendim. Two I found right away while the third one seemed to elude me. I ended up finding him in the last possible location, far to the west near Gwindethrond's cave. Mirkwood seemed much harder with the dreaded Ghámgur troll and his ability to increase his damage and speed 50% 5 times every 10 seconds. We must have... More

This week I decide to bring a couple new faces to the world and tackle the epic.
Moria Monday: Halls of Crafting, Dark Delving. Though Halls of Crafting is technically a Lothlórien instance, the group agreed to go. Hatric taught Jilleth how to play the Theorbo this time around. Then, here we go again. Looks like I am cursed to revisit Dark Delving. Ironically, no one rolled on the decoration this time around. Someone did eventually loot it once people started leaving the instance.
Featured Instance: Halls of Night. I was actually surprised to see a 3-man as the featured instance. I may have only obtained one of the critical Ranger crafitng books this week, but I managed to obtain 2 from other people and 3 from the kin. There are two of the books for cookery in the kinhouse, but no Caps of Evengleam to compliment the recipe. Still, an additional 35 sets is better than none I guess.
Spreadsheet Friday: Urugarth, Barad Gularan. It wasn't very exciting but I did manage to complete the Orcs Slayer deed.
Imbuement: I spent a good couple days trying to build up the courage to finally settle on a legendary weapon worth the imbuement process. I obtained Conflict of Eldar Days III for 100... More

This week highlights: Search for legacies, leveling up crafting tiers, featured instances, and the search for decorations.
Moria Monday: Forgotten Treasury, Dark Delving. Keeping a close eye on the sequence of lights is a lot harder when the map shows you coming in from the north. I missed out on the Pile of Coins because the gates closed the outer ring when the trolls came out to play. I had to come back later and make a suicide run for the coins. I taught Jilleth how to play the Harp. I didn't need Morhûn's Gemstone from Forgotten Treasury and I once again lost to Gurvand's Head in Dark Delving. Filikul didn't drop anything special. In fact, Nornúan's Head didn't even drop (for it was perhaps beyond recognition from the makeup of our weapons). In an attempt to complete "The Arms of the Watcher" deed, we grabbed a lvl 115 guardian to hold tight to The Watcher and stall as long as possible. I don't know how he was still holding on with his attacks being multiplied by 40 corruptions. Hatric completed the deed easily with only 12 Arms left.
Double Decoration Win: Marithil decided to help me out in getting that Gurvand's Head once and for all. Or was it Machila? They are both level... More

Without any of Gondor's quest packs, I have been unable to progress with the storyline. That doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. There has been a lot added to the game in the past few years. I also have a new kin ready to help out. I will warn you now that my memory isn't that great and some of these events might be out-of-order.
July 17: Solo (U16): Bingo Boffin's questline - a new quest every week for a whole year (totaling 52 quests) at my fingertips. The quests give you a wide-range of rewards: house decorations, weapon cosmetics, outfits, maps with dotted lines of our adventures, options between two titles, yard decorations (including guards that follow you around), and pets. Despite all my options, i was only able to obtain a good sum of house decorations and pets.
Group (U19): During my adventure into Lothlorien on 7/21, I made an inquiry about joining a kin. It was then I joined "Away Shall Fade." I took quite a bit of time exploring the premium housing additions to the game - crafting tables, Ingredient... More

July 17: I wasn't in the kin.
July 24: Forges, Fil Gashan. El didn't appear to know the instances very well. She easily got lost. I completely forgot about Forge's final boss "Do Not Heal" ability. I was glad I was able to cast Last Stand in time. Group decided it was not worth the time or effort for the challenge in Fil Gashan. The volume on El's microphone wasn't set right and all I heard was "go say hi to The Watcher" and "everyone will be right behind you." Although everyone did just so, it wasn't very smart charging head-on into The Watcher. It was only afterwards I realized I needed to dart left when he pops his head up. Also when the leader tells you to revive someone, don't worry about anyone in particular.
July 31: Dark Delving, Dar Narbugud. Completed - Nameless Slayer. I lost out to "Gurvand's Head" decoration. None of the decorations dropped in the raid either. I definitely knew this time not to follow our leader. I guess she went to the entrance of the instance instead of the alternate passageway leading to the other boss. I thought it might have been a good idea to get the quests outside the instance and share with the group. Sadly, it got too complicated jumping in-and-out of the instance... More

Although I have been playing Lord of the Rings Online quite a bit in these last couple months, I've also been really busy in real life issues. (1) Several of my coworkers have quit. One quit because of new management. Another became defiant and walked out the door. A third was fired when caught stealing. This has caused an influx of new trainees. (2) We have been making preparations for the move across the country in a year from now. Everything from the attic is now sprawled all over the garage. Old memorabilia have been picked up by family members. Quite a few things have been sold to flea markets and goodwill stores. Repairs and touchups to the house is underway. (3) Replacing my phone with a newer version. Also upgrading my computer with a new processor and motherboard. (4) Let's not forget August 21, 2017 - Solar Eclipse.
Now for some interesting facts:
Signup Date: 9/11/2010

I'm really unsure about the details behind the introduction of the lootboxes to Lord of the Rings Online. I know I received a few from a promotion, either be lottery or code. Logging in after all these years awarded me about a dozen Sturdy Steel Keys since the addition made to Meta Slayer Deeds in each region. I've actually lost count of the number of boxes I have opened. If I have to speculate, I opened about 25 boxes. From memory alone, I've listed what was in those boxes. These rewards overlap and some are awarded in bulk:
4 Sturdy Steel Keys, 10 Rejuvenation Potions, Tome of Fate IV, Tome of Will I, 10 Slayer Deed, 10 Attack Damage, 10 Max Morale and Power, 10 Tomes of Defence, a Relic Pack, 12 forms of Tattered Clothes, 15 Mithril Coins, 8 Forms of Reputation Items, 9 Teal Items, 2 Warsteed Training, 3 Tome of Extraordinary Experience, 50 Dale-men's Crams, 1 Universal Toolkit, 5 Soldier's Summoning, 1 Tome of Veteran Fortitude, 1 Simple Rally Horn, 1000 Marks, 5 Soldier's Summoning, 1 Tome of Tracking
I'm going to also add the things that I bought and sold in the Auction House:
Bought - Troll decoration for 9g, 3 Slayer Deed for 20g each, Summerdays Hat 1g
Sold - Tome of Fate IV for 220g, Tome of... More

Upon the release of 18.1 Slayer Deed revision and the easier availability of the Slayer and Skill Deed Boosts (90 min), I decided to portion a little bit each week to complete all the slayer deeds I left behind. Although Resolina might have only needed a few, Hatty needed nearly every all of them. During my crusade, I also carefully considered a new name for Hatty. I will warn you that I'm reading off my own chicken scratch. There is a big chance I'm going to misspell some of the creatures' names. Down below is a list of what I did each week:
July 17: Hatty-1. Immediately tried renaming him Hatty. No good. Cleared Inventory in preparation of massive looting.
July 24: Suggested Renames: Hatti, Hattie. Bree-land: Barrow-wardens, Barrow-spirits, Sickle-Flies. Lonelands: Bog-lurkers, Trolls. Trollshaws: Worms, Trolls.
July 31: Suggested Renames: Hattington. Forochel: Angmarim, Dourhands, Gaurdans, Grims, Sabretoooth, Worms
August 7: Suggested Renames: Bomani, Bobaroni, Baxor. Evendim: Gerthoryg, Gaurdain, Giants, Angmarim, Kergrim, Limrain. Completed Annuminas leaders in region and now need leaders inside instances.
August 14: Suggested Renames: Hattrick, Hatttrick, Hatsy. Eregion: Craban,... More

Over the years I've accumulated a long list of promotions in-game. Quite a few of them are from pre-ordering pre-purchasing expansions. To get things in-check, I've decided to list below all the equipment I received:
Rise of Isengard (Late 2011): Red-clad Steed of the Gap, White-clad Steed of the Gap, Green-clad Steed of the Gap, Eorlingas Cosmetic Set, Helmingas Cosmetic Set, Westfold Cosmetic Set, Guard of the Isen Title
Although only one of the sets was offered outside the Legendary package, there were many reports of people being rewarded all three sets through the mail. It is still unclear exactly why. The cosmetic sets included - boots, circlet, gloves, hauberk, shoulders, and cloak.
Riders of Rohan (Late 2012): Steed of the Eastemnet, Friend of the Mark
Bounder's Bounty (Late 2013): Boar Fountain, Dragon Painting, Stone Troll the First, Stone Troll the Second, Stone Troll the Third, Laden Produce Table, Laden Butcher's Table, Laden Tasting Table, Steed of Michel Delving
Helm's Deep (Late 2013): Enforcer of Helm Title, Hauberk of the Hammerhand, Steed of the Hammerhand*, Token of the Hornburg*
Some items were only awarded before the release of the expansion.
Steely Dawn Pack: "Mac... More
