Highlights: Fanrel treks through Enedwaith as Resolina plays Sauron-Says
January 14th - 21st
Enedwaith came out way back in July 2010, about four months after the Mirkwood expansion. Obviously something was happening to the company for it wasn't but a few months later in November 2010 when it went Free-To-Play and I started playing the game. You can tell they were trying to change things up with this quest pack:

Highlights: Resolina finishes up Mordor in Agarnaith and the Epic, slowly opening up the Allegiance System
January 10th - 13th
Agarnaith (Levels 114)
Agarnaith: This zone is very different than the other places. I feel like the developers got really lazy after treading through all of Mordor. That doesn't mean its bad. It is just... the majority of quests are Kill X quests. Even the Allegiance dailies follow suite (which I will talk about later). The zone is way easier and way more condensed then the other regions. The stories are still good. I'm hard-pressed not to include them because it was such a surprise for me but if you read this far into my blog that I'm going to go ahead and include them. You have Viznak, a crazy-looking fellow, help you combat the wickedness of the plague and the bats. He also comes up with some crazy schemes like a few hobbits I know that would put a smile on your face. You also encounter a small village of Wose that make you raise reputation for the Red Sky Clan before they trust you. I... More

Talath Úrui (Levels 112, 113)
Summary: I actually wrote out my screenshot folder as "The zone I hate" simply because of how excruciating difficult they made some of these areas. I will admit that I could have potentially done all these zones by myself but was glad to have someone accompany me at certain times. Let's check out the areas:

Highlights: Resolina takes some needed vacation time remodeling the Kinhouse after an encounter from Shelob's brood
Kinhouse: I love decorating and there is a lot of things I can't do with my own place. Between all of my houses, which I posted about a couple weeks ago, I only have one enormous yard slot. I admire what Taise did with the kinhouse. In the early levels, they give you plenty to work with among all the crafting recipes. They have opened so many new options with the introduction of Bingo Boffin's questline, Hytbold, Dol Amroth, and Minas Tirith. Even Mordor has a slew of fun things to do around the house. I made sure to leave anything that had ownership tied to them. I also respected Taise's decorating skills by keeping a few items in their place. The pictures I have are very limited simply because you can go visit the kinhouse yourself. I don't have any before/after snapshots.
Kinhouse Outside: There is limited knowledge on how many hooks each house has. I replaced the tents and added three new Enormous Yard Decorations: Beacon of Gondor, Eorl Memorial, and Dol Amroth Fountain. The fourth enormous yard slot currently holds Elaelin's new favorite toy: Snow Arena.... More

Highlights: Resolina takes a road trip to Sauron's Tower... several times
Dor Amarth (Levels 107 - 109)
Spreadsheet Friday: Court of Seregost, Naerband, The Maze Box Run. The rewards might be random from Court of Seregost but every now and then you can get a very good run in. I've seen myself obtain 9 legacy scrolls and 2 Star-Lit crystals from just doing T1 & T2. I'm still on the edge with Naerband. I can't stand going through the fire pit. No literally, I feel like I would die any second if I stand in one spot without someone healing my way through. The final boss still tends to throw everyone in jail. I don't think they nailed out all the problems in that instance. We spent most of the time just doing Great Barrows: The Maze as the level 115. Surprisingly, it randomly rewards 2 Slithers of Black Key and a Ranger Box for The Wastes Crafting Reputation. We attempted challenge mode. I had fun running around in circles with a long... More

Highlights: Resolina makes Allegiances and discovers the hardships of Mordor
January 2nd - 4th
Release Problems: There has been a growing problem ever since Mordor was released back in August 2, 2017. I'm not talking about the orc-kind. It was meant to be released July 31, 2017 but there was a delay (which was stated could be up to 30 days on the Mordor expansion page). As usual, the expansion did not include any instances. Those instances were released in October 10, 2017. The raid came on December 11, 2017. They stated that Mordor was not going to be offered for lotro points until Update 22 during the winter. Update 21.3.2 - December 19, 2017 was the last patch and - as stated back when I had a ton of lotro points - Mordor was released for points sometime in the beginning of November. They have "fixed" a lot of issues but from what I just went through, I still see a lot of problems.
Allegiance Problems: I really like what they did with the content and the stories but there are so many design flaws the developers must have been too lazy to change. If it wasn't for the wiki page, I don't know what I would I do. Week after week I listened to people have the same issues and week after week I'd tell them.... More

Highlights: Resolina taunts Sauron
December 27th - January 1st
The Wastes: Sorry, no group activity with so many on vacation. Though, I did manage to have a 3-day weekend. The odd thing about this quest pack is that they decided to link it heavily with March of the King. This isn't a bad thing per se. A lot weighs heavy with what Aragorn decides in these final moments with Sauron. But did they have to make you pick more flowers? At least these somewhat dead flowers match the whole theme of the zone. Things get a little confusing when you discover the leftover carcasses of ones long gone and the grudges of those oath-breakers that can't seem to tell time. Then you have those faint at heart given a second chance to finally taking down the guys in Cair Andros. At least the epic story vastly improves. Check out what happens (screenshots get a little dark):
Aragorn's Camp Site say hello to Mordor's Camp Site
He is just like the guy who talks to whales. Just nod your head and believe everything he says is true.
Adventurous Herb Lady meet Lord Who Lost Two Sons. Now let us all storm the castle.
10,000 Men and I'm given a dog. Best day ever!
Remember the guys back in... More
